My sincere appreciation first goes to my major professor, Dr. Stacey Neuharth-Pritchett for encouraging me to pursue my dream. Throughout the last five years, you have been a role model to me as a hardworking researcher, a patient advisor, and a good wife and mother. Your invaluable guidance has made the completion of this dissertation possible and opened a way to academia for me.
